Job Description

The Senior Data Analyst and member of the Enterprise Data Office is responsible for driving a world-class global master data governance and conversion process within Ecolab that supports the company’s growth, protects shareholder value, and develops associates.  This is a key role within the EBS Data Conversion team with a primary focus on SAP conversion projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Work in close partnership with Divisions, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional areas both regionally & globally
  • Serve as a specialist in the Commercial / Supply Chain master data area
  • Execute training and development activities for master data areas
  • Provide problem resolution and ‘business’ diagnostics on complex system/data issues
  • Guides new countries/regions through the process of migrating data in SAP
  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with Business Data Stewards and business data owners during SAP projects
  • Support change management activities
  • Develop an understanding of Ecolab business models and systems blueprint
  • Govern and support master data processes across systems
  • Support  execution of change requests
  • Extract, Transform and Load MD into SAP
  • Provide guidance and expertise to project and master data team members during Solution Confirmation
  • Coordinate development and creation of data mapping workshop schedule
  • Support successful data migration and cutover activities
  • Support end-to-end testing of MD processes
  • Execute knowledge transfer
  • Support integration testing and defect resolution
  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with business data stewards, project leads and business data owners during SAP projects
  • Support change management activities

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years of work experience in an analytical role, plus 2 years of SAP and SQL experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25 – 50%
  • Fluency in English; one additional language preferred
  • Ability to create, implement and continuously improve and optimize processes in a changing environment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to deal with ambiguity
  •  Proficiency in MS Office suite with intermediate to advanced Excel, Access and SQL skills
  • Basic knowledge of one SAP end-to-end process and related data (OTC, FTS/PTP, MF, QM, EH&S, and/or master data)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization in a matrix environment
  • Organizational and project management skills
