Job Description
Title – Senior Data Analyst – NLP
Location – Whippany NJ (Hybrid)
Duration – Fulltime
Key Responsibilities
- Business knowledge related to market data and fundamental data
- Clean and preprocess text data to remove noise, normalize text, and prepare it for further analysis.
- Develop and implement algorithms for text classification tasks, such as sentiment analysis, topic classification, or spam detection.
- Develop models to assign part-of-speech tags to words in text data, aiding in syntactic analysis
Required Skills
- Experienced Python Dev (Essential)
- Good understanding of design and architecture
- Worked on object oriented frameworks
- Good understanding of numerical and data packages – numpy, scipy, pandas
- Experience in designing machine learning pipelines (Essential)
- Experience in training, testing and deploying ML models live
- High level understanding of statistical and deep learning
- Experience with scikit-learn, pytorch/tensorflow/keras.
- Experience in Financial Engineering (Desirable)
- Some experience in financial modelling/forecasting
- Prior experience in corporate finance or markets (equities, rates, fx)
- Experience with NLP Models (Desirable)
- Use of LLM models for text generation/sentiment analysis
- Experience with fine-tuning using techniques like LORA/qLORA
- Experience with accelerated training libs like DeepSpeed
