Location: Birmingham (Remote and Hybrid working options available)

 

Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 depending on experience

 

Closing Date: Friday 7th June 2024

 

The Opportunity:

 

The Senior Data Analyst role will, you will work in partnership with stakeholders from a variety of internal teams to create and deliver MI reports, dashboards, and solutions. You will be involved in the production of a portfolio of reports, ad-hoc analysis, and projects that will help the business make better data-led decisions and streamline processes. On top of generating business insights and presenting analysis findings, you will aim to challenge the status quo by introducing new perspectives and innovative thinking to drive new methods and you will represent the MI team in a variety of interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the MI team with their monthly/quarterly delivery of internal reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, and subject matter experts, to understand their requirements and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Ability to mentor and guide MI analysts, providing technical expertise in data analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by assisting in the user of data governance best practices and conducting regular quality assurance checks.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in the field of data analysis, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new techniques and technologies to enhance analysis capabilities.
  • Designing and implementation of new data models.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Automation of all core MI reporting.
  • Lead and manage analytical projects, coordinating and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis for a large organization.
  • Extensive experience of using tools such as Power BI / Excel / PowerPivot / Power Query.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
  • Proficient in developing and applying statistical models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstratable experience of managing several projects/deliveries simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and explore innovative solutions.

 

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working as a Senior Analyst
  • knowledge of regulatory reporting
  • Detailed Knowledge of reconciliation best practises

 

In this role you can also work towards a Level 4 qualification (HNC) in Data Analysis – dependant on meeting qualifying criteria.
