£66,000 to £72,600 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
24-month secondment/FTC

We’re looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our Digital Technology & Data team on a 24-month fixed-term contract in Manchester. In this role you’ll manage and develop our core business systems and reporting architecture, while making sure what we currently have in place meets our needs. You’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As a Senior Data Architect at Co-op, we’ll look to you to help make the most out of our core business systems and reporting capabilities; allowing us to unlock the value of our data and drive decision-making. Working closely alongside our change portfolio, data teams, and enterprise architecture teams, you’ll be responsible for the core business systems data architecture roadmap.
What you’ll do
- Be accountable for our end-to-end core business systems data architecture
- Manage the core business systems data architecture strategy and roadmap
- Analyse the different process, data, and reporting demands from across the business
- Design data models, logical models, data pipelines, operational data stores and datamarts
- Develop and prepare functional specifications for data architecture
- Develop data architecture guardrails including the data reference architecture
- Work closely alongside colleagues to define metadata layers, technical strategy and optimal integration within our existing IT landscape
This role would suit people who have
- Experience working in a Data Architect role
- A proven track record of successfully managing data architecture within core business systems
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses and business intelligence solutions
- Experience in modelling and governing data in motion and data at rest
- A good understanding of SAP S/4HANA capabilities
- A good understanding of the finance and property management data domains
