Job Description
Senior software engineer eager to be part of a team working on product development using dotnet/C#, MSSQL, AWS, containerized services, and SPA-based UI applications. You will take part in scrum ceremonies, work with Product owners and other stakeholders to create requirements and user stories, and be responsible for the features you are working on. You will be hands-on programming new features or pair programming with other developers, performing code reviews and creating technical designs. You will work in an agile environment and be part of a large technology group with many product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Help define requirements and acceptance criteria and turn them into practical software designs.
- Program within standards, best practices, and patterns set by the organization or team leads.
- build products that involve RESTful, multiple services, database systems, caching systems, logging, and APM integrations
- Mentor developers through code reviews and other means to help them grow and adapt to the architecture designated for the project
- Assess and provide recommendations for new systems that would benefit the product and work with vendors to design the integration and a migration path if needed.
- Create Technical specifications, Architecture diagrams, and presentations to Architects and Technical leads for system or design proposals.
- Provide technical direction to UX, Creative teams, and UI developers to find the most appropriate solution and application architecture that meets the requirements and other aspects of the project.
- Participate in deployment calls, build CI/CD pipelines, and manage DevOps processes.
Qualifications
Advanced experience:
- with dotnet and C#
- with relational databases, MSSQL or PostgreSQL
- writing unit tests and working with OOP, design patterns, and writing clean code
- working version control systems such as Git, defining SCM strategies, and managing branching for deployments, hotfixes and ongoing work
Intermediate knowledge of:
- building cloud-hosted containerized applications
- building web applications that utilize SPA UI frontends interacting with RESTful APIs
- microservices and related architectures and patterns
- various types of databases, optimizing queries, designing schemas and ETL processes
- debugging, monitoring, and performance-tuning production applications
- working with Cache, Search, and Messaging systems
Knowledge of:
- different architectural styles, e.g., Onion, DDD, Ports and Adapters, and event-driven architectures
- containerized applications, IaC, and orchestration solutions
- Data systems like Databricks or Snowflake – a plus
- Understanding of data security and compliance
- Prompt Engineering, working with LLM APIs, integrating ML models in production websites and pipelines – a plus
Additional Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant development experience
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $81,500 – $128,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
