What you’ll do:
Client Data & Analytics Creating high quality, re-usable, data products that support data driven client propositions and insights and make it easy for colleagues to access client, product and transactional data.
As a Data Engineer within the Client Data & Analytics platform and Data Propositions Lab you will be working in one of our cross-disciplinary teams, where you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. Additional responsibilities will include;
- Growing your capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develop the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework.
- Providing a specialised training or coaching in areas of expertise to others throughout the organisation.
- Delivering plans for a small element of change management programme with guidance from a project/programme manager.
- Highlighting shortcomings and suggest improvements in the current IT Security processes, systems, and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.
- Delivering prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility by working within established the knowledge management systems.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering.
- Strong expertise in Cloud Architecture (esp. GCP), Microservices based architecture.
- Ability to design and build production data engineering solutions to deliver pipeline patterns using GCP services such as Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, Data Fusion, DataProc, Cloud Compose, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and App Engine.
- Excellent logical reasoning, problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice-to-HaveSkills:
- Knowledge of Customer Channels (Digital, Mobile, Branch, Telephony, Chat).
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the concepts regarding computer programming.
- Experience from a banking domain.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
