Job Description
What Are Your Responsibilities
- Work closely with business and technology leaders, Data Scientists, and Analysts to understand the requirements and develop data solutions in line with the business goals
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build best-in-class data architecture and pipelines to support analytics needs and define successful analytics outcomes
- Ensure that best practices are embedded throughout the data pipeline and enhance existing processes that are critical for reporting, modeling, and ad-hoc analytics.
- Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that drive positive business results
- Create high-quality, certified data sources that analysts and data scientists will leverage to discover insights ultimately driving revenue, growth, and improving productivity
- Develop and deliver communication and training to users of data assets including capabilities, standards, and Uphold best practices in data model development, including CI/CD, automated QA, test-driven development, and maintaining code repositories.
- Lead code reviews with team to ensure that everyone is aligned with the approach and all use cases are
- Develop dashboards that allow business and analyst stakeholders to self-serve answers to their questions
- Collaborate with other IT team members on the integration of systems and reporting tools
- Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation, including data dictionaries.
What Makes You Qualified
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 3 years minimum, 5 years preferred, of experience with data & analytics toolsets, including data engineering and data management platforms
- Experience working with Cloud data warehouse solutions and other native Snowflake/ AWS data warehouse technologies
- Experience with Airflow a plus
- Previous experience working on a collaborative Agile delivery team
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and basic understanding of data science techniques and workflows.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality certified data sources as inputs to analytic solutions.
- Proficient with data warehouse architecture and data pipelines (ELT/ETL, data modeling)
- Database development experience using Snowflake and experience with relational and cloud database technologies
- Expert with SQL and experience with at least one programming language (Python, JAVA, C++, Scala)
- Strong knowledge of analytic tools such as PowerBI
