Our Oilfield Services and Equipment business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. We create improvements and efficiency through service delivery, remote operations, automation, and advanced analytics utilizing machine learning and AI.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Engineering data models and data transformations
  • Determining what data extract, transform, and load (ETL) operations are necessary for a given requirement
  • Scheduling, monitoring, and debugging data operations jobs
  • Working with data architects and other data engineers to implement requests from business stakeholders
  • Contributing to the continual improvement of standards and conventions in the data organization
  • Communicating ideas and designs clearly to technical stakeholders
  • Explaining the thinking behind design choices and approach technical criticism and suggestions with humility

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s Degree with 4-7  years’ experience in data engineering.
  • Have high level of proficiency with SQL
  • Have Understanding of data technologies (e.g. AirFlow, Data Bricks, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Have Understanding of code review/GitHub/version control
  • Preferred to have experience with object-oriented languages would be a bonus
  • Have understanding of SAP or Oracle would be a bonus.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
