Position Summary
We are looking for experienced, passionate, and resourceful senior-level data engineers to join our data engineering team. As a senior data engineer, you will work in the Employment Platform team, and collaborate with various teams, and contribute to the design and development of Employment systems and various pipelines. This position will be ideally hybrid from our Bengaluru office (HSR Layout) as part of our expanding site location. What you’ll do
- Drive the design & implementation of new features – break down complex problems into their bare essentials, translate this complexity into elegant design, and create high-quality, clean code.
- Make a meaningful impact in the lives of our community members.
- Lead, design, develop, and deliver large-scale data systems, data processing, and data transformation projects.
- Collaborate and mentor other engineers while providing thoughtful guidance using code, design, and architecture reviews.
- Contribute to defining technical direction, planning the roadmap, escalating issues, and synthesizing feedback to ensure team success.
- Estimate and manage team project timelines and risks.
- Care passionately about producing high-quality, efficient designs and code.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding for new team members.
- Lead cross-team engineering initiatives.
- Constantly learning about new technologies and industry standards in data engineering.

What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years of development experience in backend or data software development
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Software development experience in Scala, Java, Python, C#, or Kotlin
- Experience with at least one major data processing framework like Spark, Flink, Storm, Beam
- Hands-on experience working in cloud environments: AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience in handling large volumes of data and high-frequency data streaming
- Familiarity with clean architecture approach and software craftsmanship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, result-driven environment.
- Being self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
