Department
The position is in the Architecture, Data & AI department, part of the FLS IT organization. We are the internal business partner for end-to-end data solutions and analytics expertise.
Our purpose is to provide our company with a best-in-class data and analytics function that drives innovation and growth through data democratization, data visualization and advanced analytics, including machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, a passion for AI, and a drive to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Your responsibilities

Develop end-to-end data science solutions, from scoping in close collaboration with business stakeholders and SMEs, through data exploration, validation, feature engineering, exploring and validating different ML models and bringing the solution in production-ready state following our IT best practices.

Understand the domain (be it business or engineering) to provide tailored Data Science solutions to our internal customers.

Take ownership of Data Science solutions and their improvement.

Ensure maintenance and operation of productionized models.

Participate in PoCs exploring Data Science approach to solve business challenges or find application of cutting-edge technologies in the industry.

Be a trusted advisor to business in their data challenges.
What you bring
-
Strong background in statistical and data mining techniques.
-
Proven experience in applying ML and data science to business functions such as logistics, manufacturing, customer journey analytics, quality assessment, production automation, warehouse logistics, process control, etc.

Demonstrated ability to execute end-to-end significant data science projects.

Experience in coaching team members and providing training.

Proficiency in Python and/or other programming languages.

Passion for high-quality code and following best practices in software development.
The following experience will be considered a plus:

Experience with GenAI

Experience with MLOps, setting up CI/CD and Github actions

Experience with orchestration technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Knowledge of transfer learning, synthetic data, and federated machine learning to enhance project outcomes.

A/B testing, bias and fairness assessments, and stress-testing.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field with a specialization in ML, AI, cognitive science, or data science.
Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in data science
