Job Description

Ivy is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As our Senior Data Scientist you will be building high quality (normally deployed to a production environment) systems that align with our strategic goals, and are fully integrated with our products and processes. You will work with stakeholders around the globe to scope our solutions, help them understand, test and adopt our solutions.

You will operate both as an individual contributor as well as a part of a larger delivery team, with a need to task manage more junior DS as needed. You will have a broad technical background to help shape and deliver cutting edge machine learning solutions across a wide functional landscape including CRM, Responsible Gambling, churn modelling, customer lifetime value, cross sell, player protection, as well as clustering and forecasting.

What you will do

  • Build models and machine-learning algorithms, taking the opportunity from ideation through to deployment in our live production environment
  •  Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, presenting the results in a commercial impactful manner
  • Extract and interpret the business insights and provide recommendations based on those insights
  • Apply mathematical rigor and a highly refined sense of both “where to look next” and “what todo instead” when performing your analysis
  • Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data for your analytics
  • Conduct research and development activities, data exploration and discovery, develop prototypes, algorithms and proof of concepts, leveraging leading data science and technology solutions – bring in the best of the wider community to the team.
  • Communicate data collection and statistical methodologies and their results, to both technical and non technical audiences 

Qualifications

  • Candidate should have minimum 8+ years of experience in Data Science 
  • Proficient in the application of data science concepts to commercial problems
  • Strong data science, predictive modelling, Machine Learning and AI understanding and experience
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, Spark, GitHub, Airflow, docker technology, and Kubernetes
  • Experience in working with vast amounts of data to detect trends and patterns
  • Proficient in translating business needs into technical data science requirements
  • Analytics mind-set skill with the ability to turn a business question/problem into an analytics plan, deciding on what data to use, how to transform it, what methods / models to apply, how to turn the outcome into usable, actionable output
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing techniques
