Data & Analytics is a multifunctional and multinational team of cool, engaged and truly open experts working on agile projects using cloud and hybrid solutions, residing in Krakow and in Randers (Denmark).
Area of responsibility:
- Applies expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build advanced analytics solutions and services.
- Collaborates with the business to define a problem statement and hypothesis to test and develops efficient and accurate analytical models that mimic business decisions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that data science work is delivering value
- Interpreting and delivering the results of findings to stakeholders within the business
- Developing advanced machine learning and optimization models and algorithms.
- Implement scalable, sustainable solutions addressing business needs in collaboration with engineers
- Communicating solutions to business problems
Specific tasks:
- Initiate and drive the development of analytical solutions by designing, creating, testing and implementing complex models and algorithms
- Establishing ETL processes to ensure data sources provide value for a specific task
- Provide actionable insights, identify trends and measure performance by independently conducting advanced statistical and other analyses
- Drive the implementation of scalable, sustainable solutions addressing business needs in collaboration with AI/ML and Data Engineers
- Explain the design, functioning and output of analytical models/solutions to consumers
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field
Educational background & required qualifications (hard skills):
- Typical Education level: B.Sc. or MS.c. degree with emphasis on one or more of the following: big data, data science, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative discipline.
- Industry specific knowledge within multiple data science areas.
- Writing efficient and readable code using data science programming languages – primarily python and SQL
- English skills at professional level
- Technical skills/knowledge:
- Modern data science stack, e.g., Azure ML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies. We work primarily in MS Azure
- Statistical methods on structured and unstructured data (e.g. Machine Learning, Bayesian statistics, NLP, deep learning)
- Version control
- Data extraction and visualisation tools
Relevant experience & behaviour (soft skills):
- 4-6 years experience
- Previous practical experience in data science including implementation of machine learning models and working with large data sets
- Track record in completing data science projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to present findings in a compelling way, whether it is through visualizations, in writing or verbally.
- Professional attitude, service oriented and a team player
- Stakeholder management skills
- A quick learner who can understand business needs and translate them into potential analytics solutions
