Job Description

This is a remote position.

As a Senior Full Stack Back-End/DB Developer with expertise in AI and data-driven solutions, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing backend systems and databases that support innovative business processes. Your contributions will ensure seamless integration of data, enhance decision-making capabilities, and drive technological advancements. This role requires a solid understanding of backend development, database architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services and database solutions.
  • Utilize advanced ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading into Snowflake.
  • Manage and optimize Snowflake for data integration and analytics, particularly with data from Datasembly.
  • Collaborate with the AI Developer to facilitate data transfer between Snowflake and Vertex AI.
  • Use Cloud SQL to support API development and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Work with the API Developer to integrate backend services with front-end applications.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics services using Cloud SQL.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure robust testing and validation of backend systems.
  • Implement data pipelines to support AI and machine learning model deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with Snowflake and Cloud SQL, including ETL processes and database optimization.
  • Strong expertise in backend development, API integration, and database architecture.
  • Familiarity with Datasembly data or similar datasets is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams and understanding data requirements for model development.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL, with a focus on backend development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is a bonus.
  • Passion for leveraging data to drive innovation and support AI/ML initiatives.
