Job Description

AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based solutions.

Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback, advocating for roadmap enhancements, and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts, SSAs also participate in field engagement and enablement, producing content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers, partners, and the AWS Technical Field.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
GenAI Specialist Solutions Architects combine technical skills in GenAI, business acumen, and technical sales skills. They are focused on supporting customers throughout the engagement lifecycle and work closely with the teams that support implementation including AWS Professional Services and Partners. SSAs unblock customers and help them get to production faster. About the team
The GenAI Specialist SA team builds technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey while adopting Generative AI and Machine Learning across their organisation.
You’ll manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging Machine Learning initiatives.
Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs with regard to their usage of our services impacting the roadmap of AWS AI/ML features.

Basic Qualifications

– Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
– Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
– Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
– Experience within AI/ML/GenAI technical domain (e.g. multimodal ML, model evaluation, MLOps, MLSecOps, ML training, Inference, Data Engineering, Data Science, Fine-tuning to prompt engineering, Responsible AI)

Preferred Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
– Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
– Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
