Our challenge
Looking for a senior Infrastructure Lead/Engineer with 6+years of experience in datacenter/Linux server environment with solid analysis, communication and project management skills to lead broad array of infrastructure projects.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Tampa, FL is $95k – $100/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Interface with Application Teams, Senior IT Managers, various technology teams and external vendors as required.
- Provide regular updates to all parties
- End to end infrastructure project management of Risk systems as a primary owner.
- Conduct meetings, gather requirements, Prepare compute/storage/network/Memory capacity plans for application infrastructure projects
- Work with internal teams on budget forecast, hardware procurement, installation, built, deploy and production cutover tasks
- Develop strategy for routine OS upgrades and software patch management
- participate in in different type of migration activities. Analyzing Application Impact, strategize, Co-ordinate and execute
- Monitor capacity utilization and help develop strategy for capacity management
- Guide application teams on critical software version upgrades e.g. JDK, security related updates etc.
- Ensure current environments meets/exceed capacity, reliability and performance expectations
- Leverage standard CI/CD tools and process to enhance the automation framework and transform the engineering qualification into continuous integration and Delivery
- Be a part of infrastructure team to ensure reliable operation, be flexible in Shift work on in weekend activities as required.
- Perform post release checkouts after application release and infrastructure updates.
- Develop and maintain technical project documents.
- Analyzes applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues. Identifying analyzing and remediating reported VA issues by coordinating with different teams
- Build, test and maintaining the infrastructure and tools to provide reliable, fast development and release of mechanism.
- Provide guidance for building automation tools to proactively detect problems
- Participate in architecture and software development activities.
- Take initiative to learn new skills required for future Projects.
- Mentor other team members as required
Requirements:
You are:
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise data center and Linux server environment
- Excellent oral and written communication is a must.
- Solid project management skills are a must
- Hands-on experience in Linux server environment is a must
- Hands-on working experience in Linux environment, familiarity with Linux command is a must
- Knowledge on foundation infrastructure services (Compute, Storage, Network and Database) is a must
- Knowledge of Linux Cluster such as Veritas Cluster is a Must.
- Solid experience in Production datacenter environment and Linux server configuration and OS upgrades is a must
- Deep understanding of enterprise class server/data back-up, offsite back-up and understanding of restore operations is a must
- Prior experience in planning, design, implementation of primary and disaster recovery operations and associated principal is a must
- Prior experience in new server build, server migration, data center migration and storage implementation/migration is a must
- Prior experience in requirement analysis, capacity planning, server build/installation, product cutover experience is a must
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) is a must
- Basic Linus shell scripting knowledge is a must, Python scripting is a plus
- Experience in monitoring Automation & Automated workflow is a plus
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as ServiceNow, Git, Jira, Jenkins and deployment tools is required. In Depth hands-on experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Cloud environment is a plus
- Familiarity with container orchestration services like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus
- Experience in in supporting WebSphere/TOMCAT/Apache based MW technologies is a plus

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
