The opportunity to join our team

As our Senior Investment Data Analyst, you will support the MLC Asset Management business by providing data analytics services to both internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with the team and IT to develop and manage critical data, ensuring its integrity and accuracy for reporting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the Factset database, including data uploads and setup of portfolios and benchmarks.
  • Create reports and assist the Investment Performance team with month-end data reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and analytics for internal and external customers.
  • Answer investment-related ad-hoc questions using internal systems and data.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new solutions to manage data efficiently.
  • Lead relevant projects as needed, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Work with portfolio teams, reporting teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate data for reports and commentaries.
  • Build automation and streamline processes for enhanced reporting and analysis.
  • Continuously monitor and ensure data quality and integrity across all systems.

 

What you will bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge, including hands-on experience with systems such as Factset and front-end reporting systems such as Power BI/Alteryx/Tableau.
  • Strong experience in building automation and provide data management solutions
  • Extensive experience in asset management, superannuation or related field
  • Extensive experience in Data analytics
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical skills, paired with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Advanced excel skills and VBA for macro writing
