Senior Machine Learning Engineer – AI Incubations
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI Incubations team. In this dynamic role, you will be focused on working with applied scientists and product managers in architecting, validating and benchmarking Gen-AI solutions. Your work will significantly impact strategic customers across various domains. This position offers the unique opportunity for contributing to groundbreaking projects that combine the latest advancements in machine learning with Oracle’s cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and translate them into scalable machine learning solutions.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automating model training, testing, and deployment processes.
- Implement best practices for version control, code review, and continuous integration in machine learning projects.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party software packages and libraries to enhance the capabilities of machine learning systems.
- Optimize machine learning algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency in production environments (gpu scaling)
- Monitor and troubleshoot machine learning pipelines to ensure reliability and stability.
- Document machine learning workflows, pipelines, and software packages for knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, software engineering, and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve the overall effectiveness of machine learning solutions.
Packages:
- Experience with building and optimizing machine learning pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Kubeflow, or MLflow.
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and their machine learning services.

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
