About Data Management

At the Data Management Practice, we help our clients become more data driven. This means that we work on a wide array of projects and challenges that affect our clients in Financial Services.

We are a fun and dynamic team. We challenge each other and work on complex projects and deliverables, but also prioritize social outings and camaraderie.

The entrepreneurial spirit of the practice drives our growth and helps us learn. You will be involved in initiatives like thought leadership, developing proposals and new solutions for clients, recruitment of other talented consultants, etc.

As member of our Amsterdam data practice, you will work closely with top tier financial institutions (asset managers, retail banks and insurance firms) in The Netherlands and provide advisory services on multi-disciplinary domains

About the role

You will have the opportunity to work on one of the core themes that drives the world of Financial Services and apply it to the core domains of our clients. Examples of projects/topics include. Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Reporting, Data Governance, Data Regulations, Architecture and Transformation programs etc.

As a Senior Manager you are a data leader advising our clients how to improve their data management capabilities (e.g. Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Regulatory and Client Reporting, Metadata, Master and Reference Data Management, etc.).

n addition, you help grow the team of data management experts in Amsterdam. These activities range from publishing content articles to developing propositions and sharing your knowledge with other colleagues during one of the many organized knowledge sessions.

As line manager you will also coach junior colleagues on projects and in their personal development. You also have the opportunity to influence the (long-term) vision of Synechron’s data practice and work together with data experts from international teams in the EMEA, APAC and US markets.

What you bring:

  • Excellent communication skills at business level in Dutch and English;
  • Extensive experience (min. 8 years) in or working within the financial service industry
  • Thorough understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, processes and how to implement them
  • Experience with data management and BI tooling (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, InfoSphere, Tableau, Power BI, etc.);
  • Experience strategically growing and maintaining complex, high-value accounts
  • Experience building relationships with directors and C-levels stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of the customer business and driving data-driven insights
  • Proven experience in a leading role and / or business transformation projects
