As a Senior Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority / high visibility projects for the company related to the Discover technology transition. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. General Responsibilities:Work on large scale projects across the technology organizationDrive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate or escalate as neededPlan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentationBuild relationships and collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders to understand processes and drive resultsIdentify ways to improve and streamline business processExhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the workDemonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomesDemonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demandsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree At least 6 Years of Project Management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Masters or MBA degree7+ years of Project Management experience3+ years of Project Management experience within the Technology industry2+ years of Jira experience2+ years of Confluence experience2+ years of Agile experiencePMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certificationStrong communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem solving and influencing skills At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (i. e. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $155,300 – $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management
