Job Description

Shape portfolio management tools in the Athena team

Statkraft has been making clean energy possible for over a century. That’s what we offer. 125 years of unrivalled expertise in supplying the world with what it needs most. Because in the fight against climate change, we don’t see renewable energy as part of the solution – we believe it must be the solution. With us, you’ll shape a career that is truly forward-facing with many amazing opportunities and offerings to match.

Athena is designed as a modular platform of interconnected systems, serving as a comprehensive compute, data, and integration solution. This platform aims to enhance and modernize current portfolio management workflows, which are often reliant on tools like Excel. By providing a more robust and scalable framework, Athena supports continuous development and improvement of portfolio management capabilities.
Our goal is to develop a best-in-class portfolio management platform that not only drives our current success but also scales with our business as it evolves. Existing solutions are reaching their limits in terms of scalability and effectiveness, particularly with the discontinuation of custom extensions and storage formats, making Athena a critical component for our future growth.

As a developer in the Athena team, you can expect to be a part of a dynamic environment collaborating closely with our quant developers and portfolio managers. With an emphasis on how to leverage technology to optimize portfolio management tools, you will have a unique learning opportunity and sit in the cross section of energy trading and software development. You can expect to be given responsibility to drive features to completion, be a part of planning and development and work closely with our internal customers to understand their needs and ways of working.
