(Senior) Research Officer / Researcher (Quantitative Research) | in-house

A leading publicly listed corporation, this organization is one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong and China, engaged in diverse sectors including property development, retail, and hospitality. They are looking for a skilled individual to join their Research and Planning Department.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative research and analysis to understand market trends, customer behavior, and sentiment through surveys and data evaluation.
  • Develop and implement data analysis methodologies; define user requirements and execute tasks for property database development, data analytics, and reporting automation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to gather and clarify project requirements.
  • Manage additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends and public holidays (compensatory leave will be provided).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative analysis, data science, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, computer science, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 2-6 years of experience in data analytics, market research, and quantitative assessment, particularly in Hong Kong and China. Candidates from market research agencies are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in SPSS, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA and/or SQL.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools or business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages like R or Python is a plus.
  • Strong command of English and fluency in Chinese.
  • Excellent analytical skills and business acumen, with strong communication abilities; detail-oriented, proactive, a quick learner, and capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines.
