Senior SAP Analytics Analyst

Job Purpose

The SAP Analytics Senior Analyst will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data platforms and innovative business intelligence (BI) solutions. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and optimize analytics strategies, ensuring data-driven decision-making. The analyst will oversee advanced data visualizations, ensure compliance with data governance and security standards, and stay abreast of emerging industry trends. Expertise in SAP BW/4 HANA, SAP HANA Views, and advanced analytics tools such as Power BI, SAP SAC, and Tableau is essential, alongside a strong grasp of data engineering and programming concepts. A proven track record of delivering impactful BI solutions across domains like Finance, Logistics, and SCM is key.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable and integrated data platform to support Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.
2. Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior business leadership to understand their business intelligence needs and drive the development, implementation, and optimization of comprehensive BI solutions
3. Provide comprehensive expertise in business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization, advise and empower stakeholders with actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
4. Lead the design and implementation of sophisticated and interactive data visualizations and dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
5. Stay at the forefront of industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence, reporting tools, and data analytics, driving innovation and excellence within the team.
6. Ensure compliance with data governance standards and maintain data quality across the reporting environment. Ensure data privacy and security compliance, adhering to ethical data collection and usage practices.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Requires BS degree in Computer Science or related area of study.  
2. 10+ years of end-to-end experience in deploying enterprise data platform, business intelligence, reporting and data visualizations across Finance, Controlling, Logistics and SCM domains.
3. Solid grasp of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data lakes, data warehouses, and large data technologies
4. Minimum 6+ years of design and modelling experience in SAP BW/4 HANA, SAP HANA Views, ODP framework, SAP BW queries
5. In-depth knowledge in at least 1-2 SAP functional modules across SD, MM, EWM, PP, FICO including connection points with other modules to as pertaining to BI solution builds.
6. In-depth expertise in AMDP code development, debugging, testing and implementation. Expertise in deploying SQL stored procedures.
7. 7+ years’ experience in implementing reporting and visualization solution with SAP BOBJ/Power BI/SAP SAC/Tableau/
8. Demonstrated experience in building data pipelines in SAP BODS
9. Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
10. Proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making and delivering measurable business results

Preferred Qualifications 

1. Some implementations/ POC experience with Cloud DW such as Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, SAP DWC preferred
2. Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL, or similar)
3. Experience with data governance and data quality initiatives
4. Working experience in Advanced Analytics (Machine Learning, NLP)
