Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to support our client’s data analytics and visualizations platform. This high-impact role focuses on the pillars of data engineering of compliance, data management and transformation as well as modeling, and will have direct contributions to Azure-level projects, including working with highly visible platforms through data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines within Azure offerings to support business analytics needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes, ensuring data quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Perform data modeling and schema design to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, including data lineage, data dictionaries, and data governance policies
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering, Azure services, and cloud-based analytics.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing and storage systems to improve overall efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years’ experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work.
  • OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, or data engineering work OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in data modeling, data engineering.
• 4+ years’ development experience and design skills.
• Experience with technical deep dives into service design, operating systems, networking and storage.

Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

• ADO (Azure Dev Ops) management experience
• Desired coding languages include SQL, Apache Spark Languages such as Python and C#
• Firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle
• Knowledge and working experience in data mining, statistics, mathematics is a plus

Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000
