The Spend Management team is building products and platforms that redefine how companies implement processes and strategies to track, control, and optimize their spending. We’re a team of full-stack engineers motivated by the desire to create a lovable and intuitive product experience that brings a sigh of relief to our customers who are frustrated by existing complex and fragmented spend management solutions. As part of this role, you will:Feel a strong sense of ownership – driving the product from early concepts to launch and beyond, while keeping the user experience front and center in every decisionDrive architectural decisions and define the technical direction, while fostering alignment across the team and mentoring engineers toward those goalsCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create intuitive, lovable experiencesBuild core functionality in Haskell, ensuring the product is performant, maintainable, and scalableMentor and support more junior engineers on the team, raising the bar for technical excellenceThe ideal candidate for the role:Has 7-10+ years of software development experience, with a knowledge of or excitement to learn HaskellHas made architectural decisions in the past and measured the impact of those decisions over time. You should be able to clearly articulate your technical opinions and lay out tradeoffs.

Is passionately customer and product minded and has experience building, shipping, and iterating on new productsIs someone comfortable driving discussions in areas with ambiguous ownership, approaches them with empathy, and delights in getting outcomes. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers. Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:US employees (any location): $200,700 – $250,900Canadian employees (any location): CAD 189,700 – 237,100
