Job Title: Senior Technical Content Writer
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Content Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing technical content that effectively communicates complex technical information to a diverse audience. The Senior Technical Content Writer will collaborate with various teams to gather technical information, conduct research, and develop content that is engaging, accurate, and informative. Additionally, the Senior Technical Content Writer will help establish and maintain content standards and guidelines, and ensure that all content adheres to our brand voice and style.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality technical content including but not limited to product guides, user manuals, white papers, and case studies.
- Conduct thorough research on complex technical topics and translate that information into easily digestible content.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Customer Success, Engineering, and Marketing to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that all technical content aligns with the company’s business objectives.
- Develop and maintain content standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Proven ability to put structures in place which ensure content is organized, accessible and user-friendly.
- Continuously review and edit technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Manage content projects and timelines, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, and incorporate new and innovative content strategies into our overall content strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
- Able to demonstrate technical competence in understanding architectures, configuring products, and applications.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex technical information into simple, clear, and concise content.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience integrating AI solutions and tools into technical writing and systemsAbility to learn and understand our product and become a subject matter expert
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with content management systems and project management tools.
- Experience with reporting standards and web analytics.
- Experience with Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, and design tools required.

Zededa’s main compensation philosophy is to provide you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop with the company. The base pay range, dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience and location for this role is between $160,000 and $200,000.
