Meet you Team:
The hired candidate would join the Global Technology Legal Compliance (GTLC) team, whose mandate is to ensure SAP Engineering and their developed products comply with the legal requirements of licensing agreements, and international laws and standards.
What you’ll do:
As a Senior technical legal compliance analyst, you will carry out in-depth research and do legal and technology assessment on the cutting edge modern software technology as available in third-party software and web services, and stay educated with modern software development practices and business models. In effect, you will bridge the world of technology and legal compliance to ensure that License and regulatory risks and mitigation strategies are well communicated and managed.
You will be in the forefront to make the software engineers, architects,product owner to understand the technical licensing risks after analyzing the governing agreements and use case, (as applied to third-party intellectual properties) and convey how best to manage these risks to SAP’s development organizations. You will provide detailed risk assessments of known use-cases and prepare legal memos to inform senior SAP management.
You will also help in improving our compliance processes, detection tooling, and procedures as SAP’s technology evolves. This job will provide an opportunity to collaborate with peers across the Globe to share knowledge, learn from, and aid others, and participate in an environment of growth within the team.
What you bring:
5+ years of work experience in Open-Source auditing and Third-party License compliance.
Expertise with Software Composition Auditing tools (BlackDuck, Mend, Palamida, etc.) and SBOM management
Knowledge of software development standards, cloud Native computing technologies,Micro services architecture, K8s, Container, ML & AI
Experience in Commercial license risk management.
Fluency in reading and coding in Java, C/C++/C#, .Net, JavaScript, Python, Android, etc.(at least one language)
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with clarity to both technical and non-technical teams.
An Agile mindset with high level of curiosity. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education.
