The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott is seeking a Simulation Tech to join our Flight Simulation team. In this position, you will provide assistance to the manager of the flight simulation department to include hands-on technical/mechanical repairs, programming, configuration, and calibration. You will need to use critical thinking skills related to flight training devices (simulators), and interactive systems.
Ideal candidates will have pilot training experience along with technical experience in several of the following areas: Flight simulation modeling, data visualization, computer graphic systems, artificial intelligence, computer systems/graphics/IP networking and other human-interface technologies.

Qualifications
Required education
High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math. Concentration in technology or computer science preferred.
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
Windows 7, 10, 11, iPad/iPhone, Safari, DOS (rare), X-plane, Prepar3d, VR/MR/AR technologies.
Must know how to use hand tools, or willing to learn (as needed) to repair/replace mechanical components of flight simulators.
Must be willing to be a team player and possess effective communication skills as needed for daily tasks.
