Overview:
The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development of products and services to address the evolving risk & cyber security needs of all of MasterCard’s various customer segments. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.

Ekata, a Mastercard company, is the global standard in identity verification, providing businesses worldwide the ability to link any digital transaction to the human behind it. Our Ekata Identity Engine, the first and only of its kind, uses complex machine learning to combine features derived from the billions of transactions within our proprietary network and the data from our graph to deliver industry leading risk assessment solutions.  
Here are two exciting opportunities available within our team!

1) Name of the Role: Software Engineer I – CoreIP

In this role You will:
• Work with low latency, cross-region API products processing transactions across the globe
• Analyze Data and support Data Driven decision makings
• Develop in Scala and in Clojure
• Get involved in SDLC
• Automate and maintain data workflows in a distributed environment
• Be responsible for the performance and the tests of your code
• Work in SCRUM with continuous planning
• Work with active support of senior colleagues
• Work in cloud (AWS) environment

All About You: 
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Interest in data science/analysis is a plus
• Interest in functional programming is a plus
• Fluent in at least one commonly used programming language, JVM based language especially Scala/Clojure is a plus
• Open to work in non-regular working hours (start late finish late)

2) Name of the Role: Software Engineer I – Identity Network

In this role You will:
• Work with big data platforms and technologies
• Develop in Scala and in Spark
• Get involved in SDLC
• Automate and maintain data workflows in a distributed environment
• Analyze and optimize ETL processes
• Be responsible for the performance and the tests of your code
• Work in SCRUM with continuous planning
• Work with active support of senior colleagues
• Work in cloud (AWS) environment

All About You: 
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Interest of learning big data processes
• Interest in data science/analysis is a plus
• Interest in functional programming is a plus
• Fluent in at least one commonly used programming language, JVM based language especially Scala is a plus
• Open to work in non-regular working hours (start late finish late)

3) Name of the Role: Software Engineer I – Data Science
In this role You will:
• Build ML solutions for various fraud prevention uses cases
• Analyze Data and support Data Driven decision makings
• Work with big data platforms and technologies
• Get involved and support the whole ML model lifecycle
• Be responsible for the performance and the tests of your code
• Work in SCRUM with continuous planning
• Work with active support of senior colleagues
• Work in cloud (AWS) environment

All About You: 
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Interest of learning big data processes
• Interest in data science modelling and data analysis
• Fluent in Python, SQL is a plus
• Spark is a plus
• Open to work in non-regular working hours (start late finish late)

What you’ll need  
• To be available for start from 3rd March 2025
• To be a Final Year Masters/Undergraduate Student or to have graduated no earlier than September 2024

• Strong verbal and written communication skills   
• Analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong strategic and conceptual aptitude 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects concurrently 
• High-energy, can-do attitude, very strong sense of ownership and desire to succeed with commensurate analytical, technical, and strategic skills
