Job Posting: Senior Analyst, Performance Analytics

Location: Remote

Evolent is seeking a Senior Analyst, Performance Analytics to join our Performance Suite business unit. Our mission is to improve and innovate Evolent’s capabilities driving growth, performance, and market differentiation. This role offers candidates the opportunity to explore new ways to promote high-value care and improve clinical efficiencies which have meaningful impacts for our patients, providers, and partners. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group passionate about leveraging analytics to drive innovation. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively, shape team culture, and make a direct impact within our rapidly growing organization. You’ll engage with a diverse range of experts, from clinicians to healthcare strategists, to tackle some of the most significant challenges in healthcare. By working closely with Data Science, Product, and Operations, you’ll help identify opportunities to further Evolent’s mission to change the way healthcare is delivered. Like everyone on the team, you will be expected to be reliable, be an excellent teammate, and contribute to our culture and strategy. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Participate in design and scoping of analytic work; be comfortable breaking new ground
  • Execute high-quality analyses with accuracy and attention to detail; anticipate challenges and navigate roadblocks
  • Visualize data to highlight insightful findings for diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Support executive-level report-outs for Performance Suite business units
  • Develop close working relationships with peers and leaders across Evolent analytics, clinical, operations, and IT teams
  • Manage your time and productivity to deliver against agreed-upon timelines
  • Bring an innovative problem-solving approach to continually differentiate Evolent’s capabilities and exceed expectations
  • Contribute to a culture of all team members feeling valued and respected; always maintain Evolent values of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications – Required and Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a quantitative major (e.g. actuarial, statistics, biostatistics, operations research, mathematics, economics) or healthcare major (health administration, epidemiology, public health, biology)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • 1+ years performing analyses in one or more coding language (SAS, R, Python)
  • 1+ years performing data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy)
  • Comfortable working with multiple data sources in both structured data and unstructured
  • Ability to communicate clearly with less technical stakeholders to solve problems; ability to translate between business needs and technical nuances
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment to managing competing deadlines
  • Master’s Degree, especially with a quantitative focus (e.g. data science, machine learning, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering) is preferred 
  • Professional experience in healthcare analytics (e.g. medical and pharmacy claims data, membership data, or other healthcare data) is preferred 
  • Familiarity with value-based care and programs is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of Medicare claims, episode and condition groupers, case/episode and risk adjustment, patient attribution methodologies, and network analysis and pod development is preferred

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $72,000 – 90,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
