Sr. BI Developer/Data Engineer

Position Location: Alpharetta, GA

NOTE: This position is required to be in-office 4 days a week with 1 day remote. This is not a fully remote position.

The Opportunity

The Sr. BI Developer/Data Engineer will support the Medical Devices U.S. Sales Division. You’ll develop new and/or enhance existing business-owned systems and applications. The primary business-owned applications include the source of pricing (SOP) SQL Server database, Power BI reporting and Power Apps tools that support a substantial portion of the Medical Device’s Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM) and Revenue Management System (RMS).

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead, influence, and develop robust tools leveraging innovative analytical software such as Power Platform (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) for internal use by the Strategic Pricing & Contracting (SP&C) team.
  • Develop new Power BI reports/dashboards for SP&C Analyst consumption.
  • Develop and customize Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to automate and refine processes.
  • Administer daily/weekly ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes to update existing business owned applications.
  • Conduct routine quality checks of data to ensure applications are highly accurate and reliable for SP&C Analyst consumption.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with SP&C Team and identify opportunities to enhance and improve business owned applications.
  • Develop detailed project plans to develop, test, implement and train end users as enhancements are implemented.
  • Document new and existing workflows in well-organized and thoughtful manner.
  • Create technical documentation and cross-train peers to ensure adequate back-up coverage and job redundancy.
  • Proactively identify and investigate opportunities to implement new innovative technology.
  • Create and demonstrate proof of concepts to assess feasibility, gain buy-in and drive adoption of new technology.
  • Collaborate with DevOps as needed to test and implement enhancements to IT owned applications (i.e., SAP, Salesforce, Conga).
  • Travel: 10% (domestic).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.
  • Sound knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience creating data-rich Power BI reports/dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security.
  • Demonstrated experience developing canvas and model driven Power Apps
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server including managing databases and the use of Microsoft SSMS/Azured data studio.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SSIS to create and deploy packages and deploy for ETL processes.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL statements, creating stored procedures, views, and SQL functions.
  • Strong SQL coding experience with performance optimization experience for data queries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device or diagnostics industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Salesforce and SAP experience.
  • Conga CLM experience.

The base pay for this position is

$95,000.00 – $190,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
