ABOUT THIS POSITION

With the guidance of the Director, FP&A – Data & Analytics, and leveraging Microsoft PowerBI, this position will support and enhance current Power BI data models while also developing new Power BI data models to track key business initiatives. Individuals in this position are expected to develop a broad knowledge of Waystar’s business, industry, and operations to support analysis and decision making at all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development of new Power BI data models tied to key business initiatives
  • Support and enhance current Power BI data models
  • Be additional subject matter expert on Power BI
  • Quickly learn and apply new technical skills related to the finance team’s software stack (Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Logic Apps)
  • Gather, combine, and analyze data from a variety of sources and systems
  • Proactively and independently identify opportunities for improvement
  • Drive business value and performance through innovative data analytics
  • Develop and implement new metrics of business, financial, and operational performance
  • Automate and streamline business processes to arrive at the right answer faster

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, data science, data analytics or computer studies preferred
  • 2-3+ year(s) of similar work experience or educational emphasis in data analytics required
  • Intermediate or better proficiency in Power Query, DAX and Power BI visualizations
  • Intermediate experience with SQL
  • Ability to take new skills and quickly apply them to work processes & reporting
  • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
