Sr. Data Analytics
Job Description
Job Brief:
Responsible for the high-complexity daily administration tasks and processes associated with data analytics systems within the division. Demonstrates proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and a proven track record of extracting valuable insights from intricate datasets.
Additionally, responsible for overseeing the architecture of data analytics systems and proposing new architectures that leverage existing assets while meeting Umniah’s current and future business
requirements to assure achieving KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
•Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
•Utilize statistical methods and tools to interpret complex data sets.
•Build feature space that contains the preprocessed and feature engineered datasets.
Data Modeling & ETL:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of large datasets
•Create algorithms and statistical models to extract actionable insights.
•Develop and implement data models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Machine Learning and AI:
•Apply machine learning and AI techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
•Develop and implement time series forecasting models
• Build, deploy, and monitor machine learning pipelines
Visualization:
•Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights.
•Use tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for effective data representation.
Ethical Data Handling:
•Adhere to ethical standards in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
•Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, data governance and policies.
•Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and documentation
Enhancement & Improvement:
•Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics.
•Implement best practices and continuously improve data analytics processes.
•Develop and maintain data architecture and data management, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science.
Level of Experience:
Advanced Experience in a related field.
Certifications & Licensure:
Essential:
· SQL Server Certification
· Hadoop Certification
· Python Certification
Desirable:
· Spark Certification
· Scala Certification
Tools & Systems:
Essential:
· DWH Systems
· Hadoop System
· Power BI
Desirable:
· Jupyter
· Tableau
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
· Excellent knowledge of programming languages: SQL, PL-SQL, MySql, PostgreSQL.
· Excellent knowledge of OS, databases and applications exposure: UNIX, SQL Server, Traffic-CDR lifecycle and storage optimization systems.
· Excellent knowledge of programming languages: Python.
· Excellent knowledge of telecommunication services and technologies.
Desirable:
Good knowledge of programming languages: R, Scala.
