Position ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data architecture for enterprise data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architecturesBuild scalable data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT frameworks (Airflow, DBT, or similar); ensure data quality, reliability, and performanceImplement CDC (Change Data Capture) and real-time streaming solutions using Kafka, Spark Streaming, or similar technologiesOptimize data infrastructure for performance and cost; implement partitioning, compression, and caching strategiesEstablish data governance practices including data lineage, quality monitoring, schema management, and access controlsLead technical initiatives for data platform modernization; evaluate new technologies and tools for potential adoptionMentor junior data engineers; conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and drive technical excellence across the teamCollaborate with data science and analytics teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that enable advanced analyticsSupport compliance requirements for data security, privacy, and regulatory needs (GDPR, SOC2, or industry-specific regulations)Qualifications5+ years of data engineering experience building large-scale data platforms on cloud infrastructureCloud data platforms: Extensive experience with AWS (Redshift, Glue, EMR, S3), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS); Oracle Cloud experience is a plusData technologies: Expert SQL; proficiency in Python or Scala; experience with Spark for distributed data processingData pipeline tools: Hands-on experience with Airflow, DBT, Luigi, or similar orchestration frameworksStreaming platforms: Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub for real-time data processing; understanding of event-driven architecturesDatabase expertise: Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)Data modeling: Strong skills in dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas), data normalization, and schema designInfrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC toolsBonus: Experience with data compliance requirements (FedRAMP, ITAR, HIPAA); lakehouse platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake); CDC tools (GoldenGate, Debezium)Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MS preferredCompensation InformationThe U. S. salary range for this position is $68500.

00 – $119750. 00.

This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
