Job Description

Are you an ambitious Data Engineer with a passion for data warehousing, SQL programming, and Python? Are you self-driven, motivated to learn, and ready to make an impact in a dynamic data environment? Join our team as a Data Engineer and contribute to our growing data initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Warehousing: Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and data structures that facilitate efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval. Ideally experience in Snowflake DW but experience with other DW tools like SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA will also be considered
  • SQL Proficiency: Proficiently create, debug, and optimize stored procedures, functions, and views to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Python (Big plus): Leverage Python for scripting and automation tasks, enhancing data workflows and processes.
  • Self-Driven Learning: Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to our data projects.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and integrity by validating and cleansing data, identifying and resolving anomalies, and implementing data quality checks.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, including the ability to create and debug stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Self-motivated and eager to take ownership of projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
