As a Sr. Data Engineer you will be responsible for:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Leads to resolve data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
  • Develop and maintain optimal data pipelines, assembling large, complex data sets to meet business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
  • Migrate on-premises data servers to cloud data platforms using AWS and Snowflake.
  • Build data pipelines by extracting, transforming, cleansing, and loading data from various sources using Snow procedures, JavaScript, Python, and PySpark.
  • Develop data pipelines to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other critical business performance metrics.
  • Assemble extensive, complex data sets to meet business requirements.
  • Implement internal process improvements, including infrastructure redesign for scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Develop the necessary infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using AWS and SQL technologies.
  • Work with stakeholders, including data, design, product, and executive teams, to resolve data-related technical issues.

 

Required Skills –

  • Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of professional IT experience.
  • More than 6 years of extensive experience in Data Engineering using Snowflake, Snow Procedure, SQL/PLSQL, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Over 7 years of experience with SQL and PLSQL procedures.
  • Proficient in data modeling and dimensional modeling.
  • Experienced in the full lifecycle of Data Warehouse projects.
  • Skilled in designing and developing data models and writing complex Snow procedures, JavaScript, and SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Familiar with using Git, Visual Studio Code, and managing code check-in and check-out processes.
  • Experience with Airflow for orchestration of AWS and Snowflake workflows.
  • Knowledge and exposure to AWS and Snowflake are advantageous.
  • Competent in constructing Snowflake data pipelines using Snow pipes, Snow streams, Snow Procedures, DBT, JavaScript, etc.

 

Preferred Skills (not required) –

  • Certifications in Cloud Applications, Databases, Data Integration, or Business Intelligence Applications.
  • Familiarity or experience with BI and Analytical applications like Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Exposure to programming knowledge, data streaming, and data processing and development experience.

Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000
