Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer with proven experience in the HR analytics space. The Database Engineer will work closely with the People&Culture leadership team to understand their data analytics requirements, and develop analytics data models using Snowflake, DBT and PowerBI to deliver the required data insights.
Working closely with BI Developers and Data Engineers, this role will ensure timely delivery of data models for P&C reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with HR stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements for various People&Culture reporting dashboards

Analyze data coming from various HR systems such as UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters, etc.

Using DBT or SQL, create and maintain robust data models to support analytics reports for the P&C team

Ensure data integrity and consistency, while safeguarding sensitive information using effective data masking policies

Collaborate with the Governance team to ensure data processes adhere to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Document technical solutions, processes, and various data artifacts
Qualifications

Previous experience in People Analytics with strong focus on SQL programming

Hands on experience in Snowflake and DBT is required; the candidate must have at least one production implementation experience using these technologies

Advanced SQL and data modeling skills

Knowledgeable about data warehousing, modeling and reporting concepts

Experience with Fivetran, Boomi, Github, JIRA

Experience with SAP Successfactors is strongly preferred
-
Must have experience handling sensitive PII data and working with HR data and metrics
-
Must have experience in analyzing, manipulating and dealing with large scale data from any HRMS system
-
Experience in any reporting platform such as Power BI and Tableau
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to high-quality analytics deliverables
-
Competent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or any other language is a plus
-
Able to work as a business partner to People and Culture and demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively
