Job Description

Copper River Cyber Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Management Administrator to join our team in support of a new contract at the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Responsiveness. This position will be performed remotely with the occasional need for an onsite meeting in the Washington D.C. area.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Designs and builds relational databases for data storage or processing
  • Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery
  • Cleans and maintains databases by removing and deleting old data
  • May evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization’s quality standards and ease of integration
  • Supporting data storage environments both on prem and in the cloud
  • Provide data engineering technical guidance, leadership, and knowledge
  • Provide data storage administration both on prem and in the cloud
  • Managing data storage related upgrades
  • Designing and building relational databases for data storage or processing
  • Developing strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery
  • Cleaning and maintaining databases by removing and deleting old data
  • Evaluating new data sources for adherence to the organization’s quality standards and ease of integration

Requirements:

  • Clearance:
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
    • Experience with implementation and administration of data storage environments
    • Experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and maintaining on prem and cloud data storage environments
    • Experience managing, configurating, and supporting data storage environments
    • Experience performing data storage upgrades
    • Experience creating and presenting technical specifications and requirements
    • Experience producing quality documentation
    • Experience working with Federal government clients
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Data storage knowledge and experience
    • Cloud knowledge and experience
    • Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience a plus
    • SharePoint knowledge and experience a plus
    • Platform and data migration knowledge and experience a plus
    • Cyber Security knowledge and experience a plus
