Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our client’s Data and Analytics business unit. We are looking for someone who can understand the client’s data analysis & sourcing needs, who has experience designing and building enterprise data assets and essentially helping the team build data pipelines using Next-Gen tools & new capabilities.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop and implement predictive models using advanced data science concepts (e.g., regression modeling, time series forecasting, classification, data clustering, deep learning)
  • Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights from internal data sources to interpret model impact and goals.
  • Analyze patient outreach and journey data to help develop benchmarks, optimization strategies and develop analytics solutions.
  • Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents within the business, technology and operational counterparts on new insights and analytics results.
  • Collaborate with large teams on code development, including developer-friendly Python packages to make data-science oriented functionalities accessible to the organization.
  • Develop scalable source code, write tests, and participate in overall architecture discussions to create scalable products and functionalities.
  • Explore the possibility of migrating models to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically leveraging BigQuery for data storage and VertexAI for modeling, demonstrating adaptability and familiarity with cloud-based data solutions.
  • Apply standard Data Science Techniques such as Regression, Classification Modeling, Segmentation, and Time Series Analysis to extract insights and patterns from data, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into data-driven solutions, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in data science and machine learning, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in data-driven initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data science strategies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end data science projects, from data exploration and feature engineering to model development, evaluation, and deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timelines.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship activities to foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within the data science team.

Qualifications

What you have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • Demonstration of strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and model development, ensuring efficient data processing and algorithm implementation.
  • Experience using Azure and Databricks extensively for data analysis, model development, and deployment, with proficiency in these platforms considered a required skillset.
  • Specializes in classification techniques, particularly XGBoost, to develop accurate and robust classification models, showcasing expertise in advanced machine learning algorithms.

Additional Information

The starting pay range for this role is $40-$45 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
