The opportunity
On the Design Research & Strategy team, our mission is to lay a user-centered foundation for Adobe product design and development. We are seeking a Senior Experience Researcher to steer research on our enterprise product offerings, with a focus on AI-enabled capabilities.
What you’ll do
Run research studies from start to finish, including; developing a realistic research plan and materials, recruiting participants, and synthesizing data into findings.
Advocate for the customer by articulating research findings and product ideas through clear and insightful presentations, from small groups to company-wide forums.
Engage with different roles across the company and product teams to understand and influence business objectives, system architecture, and product designs.
Mentor junior staff and oversee contractors/vendors on more complex programs of study.
Build alliances across the company to identify new partners, drive collaboration, and deeply understand the business context of research problems.
What you need to succeed
Must-haves:
Significant hands-on research experience, with at least some of that experience in an industry setting (e.g. UX/product research, market research, consulting, etc.)
An undergraduate degree from a 4-year, accredited institution
Able to drive research in areas that may be ambiguous or ill-defined
An understanding of the product life cycle and can time research to have maximum impact
Knowledge of UX research methods, incorporating new research techniques when appropriate
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
Can drive collaboration across project roles (design, research, product management, engineering, etc.)
Don’t just summarize study data, but go one step further to identify strategic implications of a finding
Can proactively identify and communicate clear product solutions based on these findings, sometimes across departments
Experience communicating work at the management, director, and VP levels
Nice-to-haves:
An advanced degree in psychology, sociology, data science, or a related field
Experience conducting research with AI-enabled products
Experience with survey design, ideally including longitudinal studies
Knowledge of descriptive & inferential statistics (including linear regression, ANOVA, and multi-level modeling)
Experience conducting power analysis
Experince in choosing appropriate sampling methods
Familiarity with or interest in Adobe’s Experience Cloud tools (Analytics, AEM, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $115,800 — $214,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
