Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Sr Analyst, Operational Data to join the Operational data team in the Information Services Unit (ISU). This position reports to the Supervisor, Operational Data, part of Pembina’s Corporate Service’s Division.
The Information Services Unit has responsibility to manage and maintain the company’s infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring data security and accessibility, implement new technology, strategize for future development, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Accountable for the integration of new applications into the existing OSI PI System;
- Participate in new application development and system initiatives at the project level;
- Work collaboratively within a team, offering mutual support to maintain the corporate historians within the Pembina environment;
- Ensure regulatory compliance by adhering to established processes and completion of required documentation, as well as contributing to the creation of process and procedure documentation;
- Collaborate and coordinate efforts within multi-disciplinary teams;
- Collaborate with the different business units and service units in all areas of OSISoft/AVEVA PI administration, development, and support; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of formal experience involving progressively more challenging responsibilities in AVEVA PI (formerly OSIsoft) Systems and its supporting technologies;
- Excellent technical knowledge of AVEVA PI, PI System, AVEVA PI implementations of the PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Analytics and PI Vision;
- Knowledge of Data Historian systems and technology, along with a strong ability to analyze time-series data;
- Field operating knowledge and equipment modeling experience in PI Asset Framework is considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems and DCS systems is considered an asset;
- Strong knowledge of system connectivity protocols such as OPC DA/HDA, OPC UA, MQTT, and RDBMS;
- Knowledge of relational databases, including SQL server and SQL fundamentals;
- Ability to follow ITIL Processes such as Service requests, incidents, Change Management, and Problem Management;
- ITIL certification is considered an asset;
- Ability to train and assist users on a variety of PI Client tools such as, PI DataLink, PI Vision, PI SQL; and
- Flexibility to provide after-hours support, given that our systems are maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
