Position ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering & InfrastructureDesign and build the AI PaaS platform infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) including Kubernetes orchestration, service mesh architecture, and container managementEstablish platform engineering standards for infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and environment management across dev/staging/productionArchitect API gateway and service mesh patterns for multi-product integration; design Model Context Protocol (MCP) APIs that enable Startpoint, VantagePoint, Costpoint, Ajera, and ComputerEase to consume AI servicesBuild developer platform tools including SDKs, CLI tools, internal APIs, and documentation that enable product teams to integrate with AI PaaS efficientlyImplement observability infrastructure using metrics (Prometheus/Grafana), distributed tracing (Jaeger/Zipkin), centralized logging (ELK stack), and alerting systems for platform health monitoringDesign multi-tenancy architecture with secure data isolation, resource quotas, and tenant-specific configuration managementEstablish platform SLAs and reliability engineering practices including SLI/SLO definition, error budgets, chaos engineering, and disaster recovery proceduresTechnical Architecture & LeadershipDefine technical vision and architecture for the AI PaaS platform spanning ML infrastructure, data platform, and product integrationsLead cross-functional technical initiatives across ML engineering, data engineering, and product integration teams; drive consensus on architecture decisionsDesign distributed systems for AI model serving, real-time inference, batch processing, and agent orchestration at enterprise scaleArchitect security and compliance frameworks supporting FedRAMP, ITAR, CUI, and classified data requirements with proper encryption, access controls, and audit loggingDrive engineering excellence by establishing code quality standards, architectural review processes, and technical best practices across the platformEvaluate and adopt emerging technologies including new AI frameworks, infrastructure tools, and cloud services; conduct POCs and make build-vs-buy decisionsCollaboration & Strategic ImpactPartner with product engineering teams to design integration patterns between AI PaaS and Deltek products; ensure seamless consumption of AI servicesMentor principal and senior engineers across the organization; provide technical guidance on platform architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native developmentCollaborate with data science and ML teams to translate research models into production-grade platform services with proper APIs, monitoring, and SLAsWork with CTO office and engineering leadership to align platform strategy with business objectives; influence technical roadmap and investment decisionsChampion non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, compliance, cost optimization, and operational excellenceQualificationsCore Platform Engineering Experience10-15 years of software engineering experience with 5+ years building platforms, infrastructure, or developer tools in principal/staff engineer rolesKubernetes expertise: Deep experience with Kubernetes at scale including custom operators, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), ingress controllers, and cluster managementCloud infrastructure mastery: Extensive hands-on experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP including networking (VPCs, load balancers, CDN), compute (VMs, containers, serverless), storage, and managed servicesInfrastructure as Code: Expert-level Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi; experience managing complex multi-environment infrastructure deploymentsCI/CD pipelines: Deep experience building continuous integration and deployment systems using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD; GitOps workflowsDistributed Systems & ArchitectureMicroservices architecture: Proven track record designing and implementing microservices platforms with proper service boundaries, API contracts, and inter-service communicationAPI design excellence: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC; This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
