As a member of Commbank’s Financial Crimes division, you will play a key role in all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation.
Do work that matters:
You will contribute to business-driven projects and programs that expand and enhance customer master data management (CMDM) Core Platform. This will involve:

Architectural Blueprint: Comprehensive design and architecture documents detailing the matching technology stack.

Matching Rules and Logic Documentation: Detailed documentation of matching rules and logic implemented within Co>Relate and Express>IT.

Stewardship Workflow Diagrams: Process flows and workflow diagrams for data stewardship tasks, outlining exception handling and data conflict resolution procedures.

Semantic Data Discovery Reports: Reports on data classification and metadata management, detailing how Semantic Data Discovery has been utilized to enhance data matching accuracy.

Data Publishing Strategy: A detailed plan for publishing matched customer data to downstream systems, ensuring integration and consistency across the enterprise.

Monitoring and Logging Framework: A comprehensive monitoring and logging framework document, including setup, configuration, and best practices for ongoing operations. You will be supported by CBA Site Reliability Engineers.

Data Quality Assurance Reports: Reports on data quality assessments, rule enforcement, and ongoing data stewardship activities.
We’re interested in hearing from people who can:

Engage with business stakeholders to consult and requirement gather across various strategic initiatives.

Implementation plans whilst ensuring appropriate documentation.

Partner with internal stakeholders and vendor teams to positively influence outcomes.

Provide Technical Documentation and guidance, to support quality, security and timely delivery of project initiatives.

Identify and recommend solutions to business or technical problems and support recommendations for endorsement in stakeholder forums.

Stay abreast of emerging technology, future developments, opportunities and risks in relation to batch and real-time ingestion, matching and its impact on the Group strategic objectives.
Technical Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

Success in designing and delivering complex, enterprise grade, highly scalable solutions for real time PII data in the cloud

Competence in Ab Initio, Express>IT, Active>Data Cluster, Co>Relate

Architect and guide engineers in implementing sophisticated matching logic and rules using Co>Relate and Express>IT matching rules manager to accurately identify and reconcile duplicate records.

Knowledge of event-driven system technologies such as Kafka.

Confident working with at least one cloud provider, AWS preferred.

Comprehensive understanding and adherence to cyber security best-practice principles.

Clear, effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
