Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate data flow across systems.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to help teams make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by performing data quality checks and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Work with databases, data warehouses, and other data sources to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data.
- Optimize data queries and improve performance of BI tools.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines, ensuring timely data delivery to end-users.
- Stay current with the latest BI and data engineering trends and technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other relevant engineering field
- 8+ years of experience working in a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data engineering solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data modelling.
- Certifications in cloud technologies, data engineering, or related fields is a plus.
- Good understanding of agile processes, able to handle ambiguity, data oriented decision making
- Keep track of the latest industry trends and best practices
- Keep attention to detail and solution oriented mindset
- Great communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
