Role Overview

Supplier Integration (SI) supports the instock function, specifically pertaining to supplier experience, performance and execution.  The team is responsible for creating new initiatives and tech products to allow suppliers a heightened experience working with Coupang.

We aim to provide solutions to suppliers by providing them with the necessary tools to ensure their performance with Coupang is best-in-class.  The SI organization aligns and works closely with the Core Retail business to ensure that suppliers achieve high, consistent fill-rates, while also adding value through improved inbound processing, and network optimization.

As a Staff II, Data analyst for Supplier Integration, you will be owning and driving critical models – specially around supplier performance, simulating/AB testing/piloting, taking ambiguity and converting these things new initiatives – and being able to distill and synthesize data into usable decision making tool – ultimately being a part of the business decision making.

You have a mindset that constantly challenges the status quo, and you possess a high degree of decision-making acumen. You are not afraid to disagree, obsess working with data, analyzing the data to come up with insights and possess the panache to work with a broad and diverse set of stakeholders to align them to common goals and decisions. 

What You Will Do

  • Reporting and support projects: Build project specific tools, data set and universally comprehendible insights to be able to communicate this with stakeholders and even suppliers.
  • Metrics:  deliver a set of Key Performance Indicators, used for reporting on product adoption, usage, performance, and churn. Manage KPI including underlying data tables and governance.
  • A/B Testing: design, conduct, analyze and uncover insights from A/B tests to inform and prioritize product iterations. Do this with statistical rigor and perform cohort studies to answer “why?” on test result drivers.
  • Cross Functionality: Engage with a vast and broad group of stakeholders to be able to tell a concise story and communicate data driven summaries and test outcomes so that at the company-wide level, programs move forward
  • Leadership: Have experience with leading and guiding a small team of analysts, with a proven track record of mentoring and fostering growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7+ years of total experience
  • Ability to solve problems through creative thinking and partnerships with other teams
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analytics such as SQL, Python or the likes
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools, visualizations and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Tableau or similar.
  • Extensive experience in E-commerce analytics / Big data environments 
  • General understanding of business operations across key areas such as supply management/supplier performance/e-commerce/logistics
  • Ability to attain challenging targets through goal-setting and personal drive
  • Ability to drive consensus between stakeholders through skilled communication
