Student Assistant – Supply Chain Data Analytics
We are looking for a highly motivated Student Assistant to join our Performance and Analytics team, a key part of the global Supply Networks Operations (SNO) team. This role focuses on ensuring data visibility, accuracy, and insights for colleagues across Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
Ferring + You
This position is a great opportunity for a motivated student currently in the final years of their studies. You should be able to work approximately 10-15 hours a week.
Your Day at Ferring
As a Student Assistant at Ferring, you will work in an international environment and cover a broad scope of analytical and reporting tasks within Supply Chain and Operations topics, including demand planning, supply planning, logistics, product lifecycle, inventory management, external procurement, and quality management.
Behind Our Innovation… There’s You
As a Student Assistant within Supply Chain Data Analytics, you will assist in the development of new reports, standardized solutions, and operations KPIs. You will support various projects with data analysis, continuously adapting to ERP and planning system changes – and ultimately delivering reporting solutions to fit new business needs.
Your essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-
Assist in enhancing reporting capabilities across all Supply Chain functions.
-
Conduct data analytics, modeling, and reporting in Power BI, utilizing SQL for data manipulation.
-
Test and validate tools, data, and Power BI reports to support the ongoing cloud migration and ERP transformation.
-
Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.
-
Assist in creating training materials and documentation for existing and new processes and tools implemented.
-
Support in defining and implementing new Supply Chain KPIs and reviewing and updating existing ones.
-
Perform individual ad hoc tasks matching your interests and competencies.
Following an initially steep learning curve, you will develop a deep understanding of the data beyond the reports, enabling you to proactively come up with solution ideas and suggestions in a subject matter expert capacity.
People Come First at Ferring
We imagine the ideal candidate to have the following:
-
Currently studying Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
-
An interest and flair for working with data.
-
A “hands-on” approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions while dealing with ambiguity.
-
An understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts or a willingness to learn and proactively seek out knowledge.
-
Strong expertise in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
-
Coding skills in SQL and Python are an advantage.
-
An understanding of relational database concepts.
-
Good communication skills in both written and verbal English; proficiency in any additional language is a merit.
