BWXT is currently seeking a Supply Data Analyst for its Lynchburg, VA location!
This tactical, hands-on, results driven position will report to the Program Manager, Supply Chain, and will work with the PMO and Supply Chain leadership team to maintain a continuous improvement culture that strives for excellence. The Supply Chain Data Analyst will develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes that report on KPIs to drive improvement throughout the Supply Chain department and other departments within the organization.
Job Description/Duties:
- Develop and manage Supply Chain’s KPIs for performance reporting.
- Develop and manage automated systems to improve functionality for the Supply Chain organization.
- Work with SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and SQL data to analyze and develop reports and processes to evaluate Supply Chain operations and processes to facilitate complex decision-making.
- Create data visualization charts and resources based on metrics and developed applications.
- Assist with SharePoint site support and lead coordination efforts as required.
- Work across all levels of the organization to systematically develop, implement and report on system and process improvements.
- Support in-house VBA and Excel applications.
- Make recommendations to management on future projects using data driven analysis.
- Work with SAP and IT to upgrade and automate reporting.
- Assist in department training and other duties as needed.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology or other technical discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or High School diploma and six (6) years of relevant work experience. Salary commensurate with experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze data from the various systems.
- Ability to act and think strategically and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
- Knowledge of key performance indicators.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in analytical programming, such as C++, Python, or SQL.
- Experience with statistical techniques, machine learning methods, or design of experiments.
- Experience in Power BI, SAP and HANA for SAP.
The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $97,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
