Summary of the Role:
The Supply Chain Data Engineer is accountable for developing a certified Supply Chain dataset and structure, building best-in-class and ready-to-use analysis and reporting solutions for Supply Chain, and performing analyses for the Supply Chain Center of Excellence. This role is responsible for creating analytic solutions with data from various sources to support Supply Chain improvement efforts on inventory management, cost reduction, shipping performance, integrated business planning and customer experience. This role will lead/support specific projects related to key Supply Chain performance indicators and metrics.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Execute tasks as an independent self-starter who effectively adapts to changes and organizes activities to deliver expected results on time
• Provide analytical and project support for cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives
• Effectively collate, interpret, validate, and present data from multiple sources
• Project related:
o Work closely with project sponsors to define scope, objectives, and deliverables to complete data engineering projects on time
o Effectively communicate project related updates
o Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Diligently prioritize projects while balancing importance, value, and time commitment
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
• Develop and implement improvements to existing metrics and reports
• Prepare and deliver documentation, presentations and training
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
Work hours will be 10am to 6:30pm India time.
Flexibility to occasionally shift work hours later to accommodate morning meetings in US time zone.
Work from office 5 days per week.
Education / Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Management, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a technical degree
Experience and Skills:
• Excellent analytical, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to integrate business acumen with technical skills
• Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and imperfect data in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to handle simultaneous requirements and tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in multifunctional, global teams
Considered a Plus:
• 5+ years experience in Supply Chain
• Strong SAP, BOBJ, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Kinaxis Rapid Response® knowledge.
• Project experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Advanced degrees or training supporting knowledge of supply chain management, MBA
