About the Job:
ZipRecruiter is a multi-sided marketplace connecting job seekers and employers. In the role of the Technical Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our business, monitoring the health of our marketplace, providing business teams with actionable insights, investigating issues, making recommendations, and collaborating with our product, engineering, and operational teams to enact improvements that have meaningful impact on our business. You will be collaborating with cross functional teams to help us anticipate changes meant to impact our ecosystem and you will have direct impact in the marketplace by driving action from insights and influencing product roadmaps.
Key Focuses:
- Develop frameworks, processes, dashboards, and utilize tools to help us more quickly and effectively monitor, identify and communicate trends, and debug data or product issues in our business
- Become a subject matter expert on the technical aspects of our marketplace, including learning how our product, data, and systems work
- Prioritize and quickly respond to incoming requests, including helping to formulate business questions
- Create actionable insights from data
- Create business cases to influence product roadmaps
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience in decision science, business analytics, data science, software engineering, or related field
- BA/BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, related technical field or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced SQL knowledge
- Experience working with marketplaces and/or bidding systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, or other quantitative disciplines
- Expert in Python, Spark, and/or Databricks
- Strong knowledge in statistics and probabilistic modeling

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$190,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
