Job Description
Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Preferred qualifications:Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience working with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud and broader enterprise technology transformation space, such as AI platforms. Experience leading the full end-to-end business cycle for complex professional services engagements, including engagements with multiple partners. Experience building relationships with government officials and C-level stakeholders by developing an understanding of the customer business and driving data-driven insights. Experience delivering digital transformation projects to complex organizations.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Portfolio Manager, you will be at the forefront of orchestrating and optimizing a portfolio of multi-year technical transformation engagements that drive significant value and improve constituent experience. You will require strategic program and portfolio oversight, thought leadership, and technical goals to drive the successful deployment of innovative Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions. You will lead large initiatives and collaborate extensively with cross-functional Google executives, sales teams, technical leaders (architects/engineers), and executive client stakeholders.
You will grow in a decentralized environment, and can seamlessly navigate business development, program delivery, and executive stakeholder management. This role requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ResponsibilitiesLead the strategy, planning, and successful delivery of a portfolio of large, multi-year technical transformation engagements for Google’s strategic public sector customers in the central region, overseeing execution across multiple program teams and partners.
Serve as a strategic partner to the Go-to-Market team, leading the full end-to-end business cycle for complex professional services engagements in the central region. Provide thought leadership, consulting, and technical goal for customer engagements, collaborating with Google’s cross-functional executives and key technical leaders to oversee solution planning and deployment. Identify customer challenges and position Google Cloud solutions to drive account growth.
