Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Technology Sales Leader for the State of Washington will drive the Technology strategy with Washington decision makers, influencers/customers, focused around winning the platform and translating customer needs. The Technology Seller has technical skills sufficient to translate a customer’s requirements to the right cross-Technology architecture and deliver key State/Local and Education messaging, in context of use cases and critical architectural decision points. The Technology Seller has executive presence to be the customer’s strategic advisor across both business and technical customer roles, with ability to generate OI and drive predictable revenue growth. Technology Sellers win Technology Decision Points and close deals by using knowledge of strategic offering value proposition and understanding use cases for all solutions. They develop and progress opportunity pipeline across the technology portfolio to contracting and execution; coordinate an account team of technical and brand sales specialists and across partner and support roles; and leverage marketing to drive customer lifetime value. Leads Functional/Business Unit Strategies. Critical skills include being proficient in Hybrid Cloud and AI, App Modernization, Security, Cloud, Sustainability, Infrastructure as well as strategic direction of the state, local municipalities and educational institutions in Georgia. - Contributes to policy making. Recognized as an expert and leader by members of a field, related functions, and multi -country organizations. Leads business unit, country, or international teams, conducts special projects, or manages functions or strategic departments.
Impact on Business/Scope:
- Accountable for business unit, major country, or international projects or programs. Responsible for committing multiple resources and achieving/exceeding IPL measurements, customer satisfaction, cost, expense, revenue and other business measurements of critical importance.
- Responsible for quality output/value add for highly visible products, services and future business development.

- Public Sector Sales Experience, State of Washington Experience, Live in Washington, State/Local/Ed Government Contract and Lobbyist Experience.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan.
